About DSi and drill sub

DSI Engineering Contractors was started by Schalk Opperman, a South African that immigrated to the BEST country in the world in 2002. Schalk worked and gained his underground construction industry experience while working at Ken Thompson, Inc. After that Schalk moved to JM Turner Engineering, Inc. - Excavation and Shoring Consulting Engineers, as SoCal Region manager, and in 2009 obtained his own Engineering License and started Drill Sub, Inc. / DSI Engineering Contractors.

The philosophy of DSI Engineering Contractors is to overcome adversity. Our clients are numerous–they range from individuals who want to put a pipe under their driveway to large corporations. Every client has different needs, and Drill Sub and DSI Engineering Contractors works hard to satisfy them. By establishing a good relationship with our clients, they learn that Drill Sub and DSI can be trusted to do the job right and that they do not need to supervise the installation. The people who work for our team are people who believe that the public should be inconvenienced as little as possible and that the client should get what they require. To achieve this we set high standards. The client is happy with the completed project, the job site is left clean, and the general public is undisturbed.
